Afros in tha City is published from Calgary, Alberta, on the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7 and the homeland of the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. We acknowledge the Indigenous peoples who have cared for these lands through generations and whose histories, languages, and cultures continue to shape the place we call home.

As a Black-led publication, we understand the power of memory, identity, and preserving stories that might otherwise be forgotten. We recognize that our work exists within a much longer story - one that began long before us and continues today through Indigenous communities across these lands.
